Throne and Liberty Operating Policy
1. General Principles
① This Operating Policy applies to Throne and Liberty game services.
② The Operating Policy serves as a supplement to the matters set forth in the End User License Agreement (“Terms”). It contains the company's service operation standards and matters that users (also referred to as “members”) should know while using this service, such as consequence of violating the Terms (hereinafter referred to as "Restriction"), the procedure for appealing such Restriction, and the recovery policy.
③ The company (or “we,” “our,” “us”) may change the operating policy from time to time to provide better services to the user. The changes will be notified to the users in such a way that they can easily be recognized (viz. homepage announcements, e-mail notifications, in-service messages, etc.).
2. Restrictions/Reports, Appeals, and Customer Support
① If a member (or “you,” “your”) becomes aware of, or is harmed by, another member's violation of the Terms, Operating Policy, or any other violations, the member may report such violations to the company.
(1) Procedure of reporting a member’s violation of the Terms and/or imposing Restrictions due to a member’s such violation of the Terms are as follows:

② Investigations after a report may take some time; in some cases, a reinvestigation may be conducted.
③ While we investigate your report, the related accounts may be temporarily restricted.
④ Members may submit various inquiries, requests, suggestions, and appeals related to the theft of personal information, reporting abusers, sanctions, and Throne and Liberty game services, through the Report page on our homepage.

Submit any inquiries, requests, suggestions or appeals regarding your account and/or Throne and Liberty game service through the "Contact Us" section of the homepage.
⑤ If the company determines the member's appeal is reasonable, the Restrictions will be immediately removed and the member's adjusted items, etc., will be restored.
⑥ Appeal must be filed within 15 days from the start of Restriction.
3. Throne and Liberty Service Operating Standards and Special Policies
① The company does its best to prevent acts that violate the Terms and Operating Policy to provide smooth game services.
② In terms of disputes between members, the company stays neutral and does not intervene. If, however, a dispute between members involves an act that violates the Terms or Operating Policy, or interferes with the normal operation of the game services, necessary actions may be taken after reviewing the matter.
③ Member's personal information will be safely handled by the company in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations and the company’s Privacy Policy. The company, its employees, and operators will not request or disclose any such information as member’s personal information, bank accounts, or its passwords, unless required by applicable laws and regulations, the Terms, or Privacy Policy.
④ To protect your account and to keep the game services stable, the company may request verification of your identity if necessary.
⑤ Due to the nature of the game, the company, its employees and operators may provide limited to no answers regarding questions about updates, development directions, and other matters that cannot be disclosed.
4. Name Management Policies
① "Name" refers to any type of name (viz. nicknames, character names, guild names, etc.) set by the member to identify the member’s game characters, items, team within the game service.
② In principle, members are free to set their own name.
③ Notwithstanding Section 2 of this Article 4, the use of the following names is restricted, and as such, the company may change the name at their discretion. In addition, Restrictions may be imposed for using the following types of names:
(1) Names that may be offensive or be considered sexually inappropriate to others
(2) Names containing profanity, abusive language, advertisement, or sexually explicit content
(3) Names discriminatory to a race, gender, national origin, etc.
(4) Names with purpose of disparaging, insulting, or defaming a particular individual, group, organization, region, religion, etc.
(5) Names that impersonate this company, its employees, officials, and/or its operators
(6) Names that suggest intent of purchasing or exchanging game accounts and/or game products (viz. items, guilds, etc.) for cash or in-kind.
(7) Names that may infringe on third-party’s trademarks or copyrights, or otherwise cause damage to them
(8) Names prohibited by the Terms
(9) Names that violate other laws or social conventions
5. Restriction Policies
① The types of Restrictions are as follows.
(1) Permanent ban on the company’s integrated account: permanent restriction on the member’s integrated account, prohibiting the access to all games and related services offered by the company.
(2) Permanent ban from game services: permanent restriction on the access to Throne and Liberty game and its related services.
(3) Temporary suspension of game services: temporary restriction on the access to Throne and Liberty game and its related services for a certain period of time.
(4) Warning: temporary restriction on the access to game services; chat bans; behavioral restrictions; forced character name changes; moderator alerts; and/or advisement
(5) Adjustment: removal of or change to the quantity or nature of character information, items, paid content, etc., related to the violation.
(6) IP Block: restriction on the access to a game or service from a specific IP.
② If the company imposes Restrictions pursuant to Section 1 of this Article 5, any profits related to the violations of the Terms (viz. items, experience points, etc.) may be confiscated or adjusted. For violation where it is difficult to ascertain profits, such as the use of illegal programs or bugs, the company may reset the violating member’s game usage information or restrict the use and access environment of some contents.
③ If your account is stolen due to the fault attributable to you or if you share your account with another and the violation is related to your stolen or shared account, any responsibility for the violation shall be borne by both you and the violator, and Restrictions may be applied to both your and violator’s accounts.
④ If two or more violations are identified at the same time, the company may impose a separate Restriction for each violation.
⑤ Restrictions may also be applied for violations of Terms on the members who fabricate or collude to violate with another party. In addition, members who assist in or gain unfair advantage from such violations will also incur Restrictions.
⑥ If a member knowingly acquires an item which resulted from the violation of the Terms, or acquires such item unknowingly but for free, the company may retrieve the said item.
⑦ For circumstances and subject matter related to such Restrictions, please see the Restriction Guidelines in Article 6. However, in consideration of the specific circumstances at the time of the violation or the degree of impact on the game services, the company may not impose, or impose a lesser, Restriction than specified in Restriction Guidelines.
⑧ For matters not listed in the Restriction Guidelines in Article 6, the company has the discretion to impose Restrictions depending on the severity of the violation of the Terms and applicable laws and regulations of your residing country and/or registered region.
⑨ Depending on the laws of the country of service, Restriction levels may be higher or lower than listed in the Restriction Guidelines.

※ "Integrated Account" is defined as "Permanent Ban on Integrated Accounts." "Permanent" is defined as "Permanent Ban from the Game." "Period (date)" is defined as the "Game Ban" for such period.
Example) "Period (30 days)" is defined as a "Game Ban" for 30 days.
※ Restrictions may be imposed for any behavior violating the Terms as well as any applicable laws, despite not being listed in the table, supra, dependent on its severity.
※ For any offense committed 4 or more times, an extended Restriction period of up to 1.5 times the Restriction period listed in the last category for such offense may be imposed.
If, however, such offense’s last category of Restriction is a "Warning," the company may impose a "Game Ban" for 3 days, and if the last category of Restriction is "Game Ban" for 1 year or more, a "Permanent Ban from the Game" may be imposed.
Example) On the 4th "Use of Inappropriate Language" offense, the account may be subject to a harsher Restriction of "Period (45 days)" than the third Restriction of "Period (30 days)."
※ Restrictions on the account may be imposed depending on the accumulated number and severity of all offenses rather than the severity of a particular offense.
7. Long-Term Inactive Account Policy
① In order to improve services, as well as to provide smoother operation of the game, the company may delete any character information in accounts (hereinafter referred to as "Long-Term Inactive Account"). The following conditions must be met for such action to occur:
(1) 6 months have passed since the user last accessed Throne and Liberty; and
(2) The period of the user’s paid service in Throne and Liberty has ended
② To ensure smoother guild functions in game services, the company may, upon request of a guild member, revoke the guild management rights of the guild leader's character or transfer the guild management rights to another member’s character, provided the following conditions are met:
(1) More than 14 days have passed since the user last accessed Throne and Liberty; and
(2) A 90-day or longer period of Restriction has been imposed
③ If the company decides to delete a character information of a Long-Term Inactive Account, the company will give advance of notice about the deletion and its date
④ The deleted characters and character names of the Long-Term Inactive Account cannot be recovered.
8. Recovery Policy
① Loss or change in game usage information (viz. information such as items, in-game goods, scores, achievements, levels, etc. acquired by the member in the process of using game services) caused by reasons attributable to the company or technical errors of game services can be restored, provided such restoration does not burden the balance of the game and such loss or change is verifiable through in-game records.
② If you are unable to proceed with the quest due to technical error in game services, we will do our best to help you proceed with the quest to the extent feasible to check in-game records available in current information and consultation services technology. If necessary, we may recover your quest items or change your character information.
③ Members wishing to recover their game usage information as per Sections 1 and 2 of this Recovery Policy must apply for recovery through the Customer Center within 7 days from the date of loss or change.
④ Application for recovery per Section 3 of this Recover Policy must be directly submitted by the account holder whose information was lost or changed. No proxy application by a third party is permitted.
⑤ Based on game planning or operational judgment, the company may modify, change, or delete the user’s character or item information with a prior notice, and individual recovery is not possible. If, however, the modification, change, or deletion is due to a change to a service, although the company will use commercially reasonable efforts to provide notice to you as provided by the Terms, the company may not be able to provide you a prior notice. In addition, paid content may be modified, changed, or deleted if it is deemed necessary for game planning or operation (such as game balancing.) In such cases, the Company shall compensate the user with other game items of similar value. User shall not be entitled to make a separate claim for damages in connection with such actions against the company.
⑥ Loss or change of game usage information in the following subparagraphs is not subject to recovery or compensation:
(1) Damage caused by the member's own negligence or failure to familiarize themselves with the game system, notices, terms, conditions, and operating policies, etc.
(2) Damage caused during the normal course of use during game services by the member, such as melting, strengthening, crafting, and selling items in the store.
(3) Any damage caused during the use of game services in a manner not authorized by the company, such as item transactions, account transactions, and sharing
(4) Damage caused by device changes or device resets
(5) Loss of guild level due to guild dissolution
(6) Damages caused by user's failure to confirm the correct information such as item name, price, number, etc. when registering/selling/purchasing items at the Exchange
(7) Damage caused by problems between members without the involvement by the company, such as in-game fraud
(8) Damages in cases where account theft occurs due to the member's negligence in account management
- Members can demonstrate proactive management of their account by periodically changing their passwords and enrolling in secure authentication services.
9. Recovery Guidelines
- Recovery of losses caused by user negligence or system errors during the game will be governed by the following recovery guidelines. For any matter not listed in the guidelines, general principles of recovery will be used to determine whether, and to what extent, they are recoverable.

※ Recovery may be limited for the losses incurred by the intentional acts of the user, or for items that violate system settings, or for items that may be exploited in the game.
※ Recovery per item is processed based on archived data. Losses for which no record exists cannot be recovered.
※ Recovery is generally possible if less than 15 days have passed since the loss occurred (including the day of the incident). If more than 15 days have passed, however, recovery may not be possible because verifying the data may be difficult or time-consuming.
10. Unconnected Character Name Management Policy
① The company may reset the character name in the account that meets one of the following conditions in order to improve the service and to provide smoother game operations.
(1) Any character name from an account which did not connect to Throne and Liberty for the last six months at least and have no payment history; or
(2) Any character name from an account that has received a permanent ban from the game.
② If the character name is to be reset, the company will notify in advance the reset schedule and its details through official community announcements.
③ In accordance to the Unconnected Character Name Management Policy, character names that have been reset cannot be recovered.
11. Inactive Guild Name Management Policy
① For the purpose of improving services and providing smoother game operations, the company may reset the guild name of a guild which has no guild member who has connected to the game in the last six months at least
② If the guild name is to be reset, the company will notify in advance the reset schedule and its details through announcements.
③ In accordance to the Inactive Guild Name Management Policy, guild names that have been reset cannot be recovered.
