PlayNC Password Security Update

As of April 19, 2007, the PlayNC Account Management and game account password features were updated to provide better security for our customers.

For customers with existing accounts, these updates will take effect after you have logged into your PlayNC master account to update your PlayNC master account password and password hints. For customers creating new accounts, the new features will automatically take effect.

The new features include:

• Removal of date of birth verification for the Forgot Password tool for PlayNC master accounts
• Addition of visual verification screen for the Forgot Password tool for PlayNC master accounts
• Addition of two password hint questions and answers for the Forgot Password tool
  • The password hint questions are chosen from a pre-populated list of questions.
  • The password hint answers are case-sensitive.
  • To successfully reset or change passwords, you must answer both password hint questions correctly.
  • Password hint questions should always be something only you will know, but can easily remember.

If you have not yet updated your PlayNC master account password and password hints, we strongly recommend doing so, so you can take advantage of the new security tools provided. The following Knowledge Base articles will assist you in updating this information.
